This mokuhanga print was inspired from a trip to Kings Canyon in central Australia, particularly how the light was streaming past the canyon ridge and into the valley below. This is the largest print I've made to date and the first Australian inspired print.
Printed in the traditional Japanese mokuhanga method, using a brush to apply water based inks and pressed by hand using a baren. This is an original handmade print and not a reproduction. Limited number of prints available, printed on handmade Shin Hosho Japanese washi paper.
6 carved blocks and 9 impressions.
